SENT / Thematic Network of European Studies
Via its new Director Gerda Falkner (until August 2008 Head of the Department of Political Science at the Institute for Advanced Studies in Vienna, one of the partner institutions of the network), the EIF is also connected to the Network of European Studies SENT.
This EU-funded project brings together 66 partners from EU member and candidate states as well as from a number of associated countries. The goal is to understand how EU studies has eveloped in the various countries and disciplines, which directions it is now taking, etc., in order to get a comprehensive review of the evolution of European studies over the previous decades. It focuses on five disciplines where EU studies have particularly evolved: law, politics, economics, history, and social and cultural studies.
